| Wicklewood
is a small village in the heart of Norfolk, England.
It lies about 11 miles west of Norwich and about 3 miles from Wymondham , the largest market town in South Nofolk, on the A11 London to Norwich road. The village is mainly rural residential, but does contain many small businesses. These range from Wicklewood Stores and Post Office run by Colin and Brenda, through builders, farms and R G Goodings garage, to the Cherry Tree public house, where the owners are Buffy's Brewery. You can stay in the village in excellent B&B accommodation at the Old Windmill Bed and Breakfast The main attraction in Wicklewood is its windmill (pictured above), still in working order. The windmill was built in 1845, restored in 1980 by Norfolk Windmills Trust. The brick tower has 5 storeys and a boat shaped top. Public access is only by appointment. Contact Wymondham Tourist Information Centre for more information on the Windmill Tel: +44 (0)1953 604721 |

Our village has a Youth Club catering for the 10-16 age group. Unfortunately the youth club is not currently running due to a lack of adult volunteer helpers. Click on this link to discover more. Another group using the village hall are the local Guides, Brownies and Rainbows. For more information about this organisation click here. To keep the locals informed the village has a parish magazine called "The Net", although the similarity of it's name with what you are doing now is only coincidence. You can now read the magazine on "the web" by clicking here. |
